Introspective Patterns: Rawhide Earrings
Friday, July 17th . 6-8pm@Stodgy Brewing. Looking inwards and making our truer selves wearable.
Service Description
The Crafternoon Series are classes constructed to engage adult artists with a variety of artmaking techniques and mediums in a supportive and social setting. Each session will feature a different theme and coordinated project, materials, or art method to accompany the theme. During our class, "Introspective Patterns," artists will engage in creating personal symbols and patterns. Those are then painted on rawhide (or vegan alternative) earrings/pendant to make what is true on the inside represented in a wearable piece of art. We will look at cultural traditions in patterns, parfleche (Indigenous design practice), and the use of rawhide in practical tools and jewelry making. All skill levels are welcome. Location: Stodgy Brewing in Fort Collins in the small private room behind the bar from 6-8pm. Cost: $50, which includes the materials for one set of earrings or keychain. Additional supplies will be available for purchase.
