Layered Experience: Gelli Printing

Service Description

The Crafternoon Series are classes constructed to engage adult artists with a variety of artmaking techniques and mediums in a supportive and social setting. Each session will feature a different theme and coordinated project, materials, or art method to accompany the theme. During our class, "Layered Experience," artists will dig into the diverse parts that make our experiences meaningful and memorable and creating prints inspired by those personal experiences. Artists will utilize Gelli printing (a monoprinting method using a gelatin-like plate), custom stencils, a variety tools to represent their experiences in a one-of-a-kind print. We will explore this unique artmaking method while enjoying the company of others and an optional beverage from the local establishment. All skill levels are welcome. Location: Purpose Brewing and Cellars in Fort Collins in the "barrel room" behind the bar from 6-8:30pm. Cost: $50, which includes the materials for many test prints and at least one final print. Additional supplies will be available for purchase. Your first beverage is also included!
